Nursery Camp

Exclusively for children already attending Hoe Bridge Nursery each day is packed to the brim with action, adventure & fun as children take on a myriad of activities on our Nursery Camp.

Housed in our Hoe Bridge Nursery children enjoy an open planned classroom with direct access to a dedicated Nursery outdoor learning environment. Our Nursery facility also include dedicated toilets and changing facilities and a large messy play area for lots of creative painting and sand play.

Led by our highly experienced teaching staff from Hoe Bridge School, Nursery children enjoy a range of learn through play activities throughout their camp day as well as sport, art activities and dance.

Age Groups

In order for your child to get the most out of their time at Hoe Bridge Camps, they will be grouped based on their current school year. Please note during summer months this is the year group you have just completed at school.

Please see the table below as a guideline for groupings but please note due to staff-to-child ratio regulations, age grouping on the day may be subject to change.

Dropping Off & Picking Up

All children can be dropped off between 8.30am and 9.30am and picked up between 4.30pm and 5.30pm. During this time children have a choice of free play activities supervised by our camp staff.

All children must be in camp by 9.30am to start the days planned activities. If you wish to pick up your child before 4.30pm then just let our Camp Manager know in the morning so they can get your child ready for collection.

 

Medical

Our Camp Manager and a minimum of 5 other camp staff working each day are first-aid trained.

Please note any regular medication that needs to be administered during camp on your booking form online. If you have other medication that needs to be administered with short notice please speak to our Camp Manager in the morning of camp and they will ask you to complete a form so we can administer the medication.

 

Food

A water bottle, healthy lunch and two snacks must be packed daily for camp. Please note we are nut/sesame free so please remember no peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches!

MELANIE WEBBER
HOE BRIDGE SCHOOLCAMP TEACHER

Melanie studied Performing Arts at the University of Hertfordshire before studying a PGCE. She has been teaching for more than 20 years and have worked within Prep schools in Surrey and teaching in South Africa. Melanie started working at Hoe Bridge this Easter as our Nursery Twigs Lead. 

Outside of school, Melanie enjoys singing, dancing, baking, and spending time with her family.

ROSIE SAXE
HOE BRIDGE SCHOOLCAMP TEACHER

Rosie studied Multi-Media Journalism at Bournemouth University before completing a PGCE at Kingston University. Teaching for over 7 years both in school roles in the UK and Dubai, Rosie joined Hoe Bridge School as Assistant Head of Key Stage 1 in September 2021 and also teaches Ballet as part of our After School Activities.

Outside of school, Rosie loves playing tennis and dancing with friends!
