Designing games, jam-packed with awesome features including, zombies, unicorns, invisibility cloaks, and so much more. And then the real fun begins, as we use drag and drop code and logic to connect all the elements and bring their games to life!

During our Code Camp, kids will build their very own arcade-style game using drag & drop coding, a visual coding language which makes it easy to understand the role each function plays in their game. Kids will use a real mix of creative level design, storytelling and problem-solving to bring their creations to life. 

All children walk away with their very own game playable via the Code Camp App, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play and also have access to the same tools at home after Code Camp has finished so they can carry on their learning!

Age Groups

In order for your child to get the most out of their time at Hoe Bridge Camps, they will be grouped based on their current school year.

Please see the table below as a guideline for groupings but please note due to staff-to-child ratio regulations, age grouping on the day may be subject to change.

Dropping Off & Picking Up

All children can be dropped off between 8.30am and 9.30am and picked up between 4.30pm and 5.30pm. During this time children have a choice of free play activities supervised by our camp staff.

All children must be in camp by 9.30am to start the days planned activities. If you wish to pick up your child before 4.30pm then just let our Camp Manager know in the morning so they can get your child ready for collection.

 

Medical

Our Camp Manager and a minimum of 5 other camp staff working each day are first-aid trained.

Please note any regular medication that needs to be administered during camp on your booking form online. If you have other medication that needs to be administered with short notice please speak to our Camp Manager in the morning of camp and they will ask you to complete a form so we can administer the medication.

 

Food

A water bottle, healthy lunch and two snacks must be packed daily for camp. Please note we are nut/sesame free so please remember no peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches!

Maddy has been working as one of Code Camp’s Lead Instructors for the past 2 years.  Having worked with many of our Surrey partner schools, Maddy is used to leading both after-school clubs and holiday camps.  Maddy has also worked at some of our fabulous corporate camps in London; Sky and Samsung to name a few! Maddy always comes up with fab ideas when helping the children develop their games and is passionate about coding and helping the next generation of computer programmers.
